Limited runs, fair wages, quality that shows. A look at the family atelier we work with.
We produce in a family atelier in Vila Nova de Gaia, just outside Porto. The atelier has been around since 1998 and is still run by the same family. No middlemen, no rotating production houses. One partner we work with directly.
Limited runs
We produce between 200 and 400 pieces per size per drop. That's small, and we mean it. It means everything is made attentively and we can do precise quality control before shipping.
Fair labour conditions
The atelier follows Portuguese law for wages, hours and working conditions. No subcontracting, no anonymous middlemen. We visit the atelier at least twice a year to see everything firsthand.
Why Portugal
Portugal has a long tradition in textile production and is known for craftsmanship in cotton, denim and knits. The ateliers are small, specialised, and easily handle premium quality. Logistically it's three days to Almelo. More importantly: it's a production country where we feel at home as a brand.
